NBT named to business loan list

Norwich A leading banking publication has ranked NBT Bancorp in the Top 80 nationally in terms of small business loans. "American Banker" listed NBT Bancorp at 78th.

The list, titled "Bank Holding Companies with the Largest Small-Business Loan Balances," appeared in the publication's Oct. 31, 2007, issue and is based on data from June 30, 2007.

Of 150 bank holding companies ranked, NBT Bancorp had a total small business loan balance of nearly $364 million on more than 8,100 loans. This was the fourth-largest portfolio for banks based in New York state, and the second largest for those based in upstate New York.
